Our goal is to reach the lost and un-churched people locally and throughout the world. We seek to strengthen the Christian and train leaders through the teaching of the Word, outreach ministries and team leadership. We desire to demonstrate God's grace, acceptance, power and love by caring for people.
New Horizons WorshipCenter-Global Ministries, Inc. was incorporated
December 2010.
In January 2007,
New Horizons Worship Center began as a Saturday evening home bible
study, in Hudson, under the covering of Calvary Chapel Worship Center
(CCWC).
By August 2008, the bible study became too large to
remain in a home setting, and transitioned into a church service.
Pastor Gabriel Papadopoulos, along with the Senior Pastor Bill Strayer
of CCWC, selected the new site at the Signal Cove Civic Center, 13139
Tiller Drive, Hudson, FL 34667.
The bible study had evolved into
a Sunday evening service, continuing as a ministry of CCWC. During this
time, attendance grew.
As of December 2010, the
Senior Pastor, Bill Strayer, released New Horizons Worship Center to
become incorporated. This indicates the beginning of New Horizons
Worship Center-Global Ministries, Inc. (NHWC-GM) as an independent and
self-supporting entity.
By February 2011, NHWC-GM
had leased its first official location, 8123 Ridge Road, Port Richey, FL 34668.
Church services were established as Sunday mornings at
11:00am, Wednesday and Saturday evenings at 7:00 PM. NHWC-GM began
outreach ministries, such as free family barbeques and other special
events for the neighborhood. With the development of permanency,
membership began to increase and within two years it was necessary to
search for a larger facility. Due to the excellent financial management
and direction of Pastor Gabriel Papadopoulos, the church was able to
save enough funds to be used as a down payment to purchase the next home
for New Horizons Worship Center-Global Ministries.
July 2013 marks the transition to a permanent building, located at 6915 Shady Acres Boulevard, New Port Richey, FL 34653. The move to a stable location, a property that New Horizons Worship
Center now owned, sparked another increase in membership.
As the
residents of the area become acquainted with NHWC-GM, it continues to
expand. NHWC-GM has been able to increase its ministries and support to
the community.
New Horizons Worship Center-Global Ministries
supports other local ministries, such as The Volunteer Way, Acts
Resource Center, and The Prayer & Crisis Referral Network Inc.
Pastor Gabriel Papadopoulos and NHWC-GM have a heart to serve the
people. NHWC-GM offers clothing, food and free barbeques to homeless
and needy families. The Leaders and members of New Horizons Worship
Center-Global Ministries continue to work for excellence in serving
this community in unity.
